Apply Effect

Applies a potion effect to a living entity for a given duration.

Note: Common effect names: SPEED, SLOWNESS, HASTE, MINING_FATIGUE, STRENGTH, INSTANT_HEALTH, INSTANT_DAMAGE, JUMP_BOOST, NAUSEA, REGENERATION, RESISTANCE, FIRE_RESISTANCE, WATER_BREATHING, INVISIBILITY, BLINDNESS, NIGHT_VISION, HUNGER, WEAKNESS, POISON, WITHER, HEALTH_BOOST, ABSORPTION, SATURATION, GLOWING, LEVITATION.

Inputs

entity entity The living entity.
effect string Potion effect type name (e.g. SPEED, POISON, REGENERATION).
duration number Duration in seconds.
amplifier number Amplifier level (0 = level I, 1 = level II, etc.).

Properties

Examples

Give player Speed II for 30s

Apply Speed II to a player when they join.

  1. Player Join Trigger → player → Apply Effect
  2. Set Effect Type to SPEED, Duration to 30, Amplifier to 1
